In March, the month of spring, poets and cinema!

Even if there are no more seasons, there are appointments that even global warming cannot change. Every year in March, the Printemps des poètes (Poets' Spring) brings a breath of poetry to France. It is followed by the Printemps du cinéma which, for three days, from 29 to 31 March, sees the emergence of low-price screenings.

Meeting, exchanging, listening to texts or music, writing in a workshop, attending a show... Le Printemps des poètes, from 7 to 23 March, is a pretext for all sorts of local events. The objective? To make as many people as possible aware of poetry while offering moments and places for sharing.

Le Printemps des poètes is organizing its 22nd edition in 2020. This year's theme is courage. So, even if you're just passing through the capital, dare! Dare to open the door of this bookstore that organizes a reading aloud, or that of this library that invites you to meet poets in the flesh. And let Boris Vian fans rejoice: in this anniversary year, the poet-writer-musician will be widely honoured!

Cinema, on the other hand, doesn't really need to be advertised. Nevertheless, Springtime in Cinema is still a great opportunity to gather the largest number of people in the cinemas. At 4 euros a session, you would be wrong to deprive yourself. All the more so as there is no shortage of cinemas in the 14th arrondissement, around the Apollinaire Hotel, from small neighbourhood cinemas to large multi-screen complexes.

In March, in Paris, let yourself be touched by the images of poetry and the words of cinema.
