Hotel Apollinaire - Paris Montparnasse

The Cartier Foundation Web Escape

The Apollinaire Hotel is pleased to count the Cartier Foundation among its neighbours. Since the beginning of the health crisis, this prestigious institution invites you to a Web Escape. A pleasant way to console yourself from its temporary closure. On the program: series, podcasts, articles and unpublished content. An open window on art and the world.

The Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, created in 1984, has been occupying a building on Boulevard Raspail in the 14th arrondissement of Paris since 1994. It is a space for creation, exhibitions and encounters and is entirely devoted to contemporary creation in all its forms.

Despite the closure, the foundation intends to continue to give a voice to artists, philosophers and scientists who enrich our vision of art and the world. Hence the Web Escape.

The proposed digital explorations have one thing in common: they deal with strong themes such as the environment and the defence of Aboriginal peoples.

Discover the latest film by Raymond Depardon and Claudine Nougaret. Relax by doing some colouring by Francis Hallé. Immerse yourself in the intimacy of artists at work via a series of videos.

With American bioacoustician Bernie Krause, rediscover The Great Orchestra of Animals, or treat yourself to a sound immersion in the heart of the Amazon. And why not continue this trip to Amazonian land with Brazilian photographer Claudia Andujar? A talented artist committed to defending the rights of the Yanomami Indians. The exhibition devoted to her at the Cartier Foundation had to be cut short due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Please note: the Cartier Foundation's e-shop is open again. Ideal for finding a Father's Day gift.

In June, treat yourself to a breath of contemporary art on the Cartier Foundation website:
